關心南韓MERS疫情最新情況，今天(6月9日)三星首爾醫院表示，一名孕婦確認感染MERS，總計南韓共有96個確診病例，為了加強控管疫情，代理總理宣佈，疫情級別將一口氣提升兩個等級，來到最高的嚴重層級。而為了預防疫情惡化，今天開始，南韓軍方單位和公務部門外，所有訪客都必須先量體溫，才能進入。
帶著口罩，士兵手拿溫度計，凡是進入南韓國防部的民眾，都必須接受體溫測量，新措施實施擴及所有公務部門。
南韓疫情沒有緩解趨勢，9日，甚至傳出一名孕婦確診病例，這也是韓國的第一起孕婦確診病例。
這名40歲的孕婦，8日準備住院待產，因為肌肉酸痛，所以接受初步MERS檢驗，呈現陽性。她在5月27日，到三星首爾醫院的急診病房，探視母親，因而和MERS第14號病例，同在急診室達一小時，他的父母也已經確診感染MERS。
除了南韓，先前在中東也有兩起孕婦MERS病例，由於孕婦有用藥限制，南韓醫療人員相當苦惱，就怕治療會傷及胎兒和母體。
政府擔心疫情擴大成社區感染，擬定將疫情管理層級，並宣佈從9日開始，每天召開疫情防控會議。
南韓代理總理崔炅煥：「目前疫情級別還在「注意層級」，但政府將提升到「嚴重層級」，要阻止發生社區感染的可能性。」
世界衛生組織助理秘書長福田敬二，帶領病毒傳染預防和公共保健專家，9日開始，和南韓政府攜手展開調查，對確診患者住過的醫院、傳染途徑，以及隔離設施進行調查，並且進行分析。（民視新聞呂亞君綜合報導）
